Zee TV Tamil channel announced a reality music show “Sa re ga ma pa Challenge”. An audition in Chennai was organized in MCC school, chetpat today morning(17th may).
What happened there?
scene1:
I entered the MCC school by 7:30 AM. There were nearly 50 people already there. They haven’t opened yet the registration booth. They said it will be opened by 8 AM.
scene 2:
Around 8:15 AM Some of us had formed a queue in front of the registration booth. A channel person requested us to sit in a place and he said he will let us know when registration starts.
They started covering the (upcoming) singers (absolutely) who have come to audition.
Some of us came to know that people are in a queue. We joined at the end after nearly 100 – 150 persons.
The same channel person came and brought us back to the entrance (before gate). Asked to run after opened the gate. All were rush to be in queue. Wow luckily i was the 6oth person in the queue.
scene 3:
We all thought the application form issued in the booth will have a registration number which was the order for us to sing.
Actually not.
The application form has no registration number.
scene 4:
We filled the forms and again formed a queue to submit the form to get registration number badge.
Now the time nearly 10:30 AM.
We were so tired. We came for audition and they made us to act, run, speak except singing.
scene 5:
Primary audition was arranged in 5 booths which were placed in open air.
5 judges were there in each booth, most of us didn’t know their name itself.
scene 6:
The audition booth has the following setup:
- In open air.
- Judge and singer had no monitoring facility (speaker or headphone). How could they judge the medium/low pitch songs?. Terrific!
- lot of noise around the booth.
I have met many auditions from many channels. I have entered significant levels in some. But not like this.
